Stunning canyons and river views, impressive mountains and forests, a variety of outdoor sports and live performances are the hallmarks of Pipestem park.
Pipestem Resort State Park is built in and above the beautiful Bluestone River Gorge in southeastern West Virginia. It offers a huge array of experiences and accommodations.
There are miles of hiking and bridle trails, fishing and paddling is popular and swimming, golf and tennis are nearby.
Winter enthusiasts can cross-country ski.
Year-round nature and recreational group activities are also available.
The park also has an amphitheater, which hosts musicals, plays, choral groups and other performers. Nearby, the park’s Canyon Rim Center features native arts and crafts sales and demonstrations.
Mckeever Lodge offers panoramic views of the gorge and the mountains, while the smaller Mountain Creek Lodge hides in the gorge and is accessible only by a scenic aerial tramway.
There are also 26 fully-equipped deluxe cottages, and 82 modern and rustic campsites.
