Tucked in the heart of white-water rafting country, Hawks Nest State Park covers 276 acres bordering a rugged section of the New River Gorge National River.
Known for its panoramic views, the park offers a modern, 31-room lodge. Below the lodge, the New River forms peaceful Hawks Nest Lake. Above the lake, the narrow canyon and rushing water create one of the most challenging white-water waterways in the nation.
From the lodge, visitors are treated to spectacular views of the lake, marina and the aerial tramway that serves the lakeside. During seasonal operating hours, they can also take exhilarating jet boat rides to the New River Gorge Bridge.
