Boundary Dam is located in Pend Oreille County about 10 miles from Metaline Falls.

The Boundary Dam area covers about 1,000 acres of outstanding terrain in northeast Washington.

The dam area features offers campsites in a beautiful forested setting along the mainland and on an island in the Pend Oreille River.

The primitive camping area on the island can be reached by boat. Water levels fluctuate, so make sure you place your camp spot above the high water line.

The river is skirted by precipitous rock walls rising 100 to 200 feet from the shoreline.

Visitors can see elk, bears, deer and other wildlife along the shore. Those who float down the river by raft or boat can fish for rainbow trout. Huckleberries are in season beginning in early July.

There are no facilities at this location. About 2.5 miles north of Boundary Dam is a campground outfitted with toilets, grills and picnic tables.
