Clinch Mountain's 25,477 acres are among Virginia's most biologically-diverse public lands.
With elevations ranging from 1,600 to 4,700 feet, the area includes tree species from both southern and northern forests. Wildlife include deer, bears, grouse, beavers and waterfowl.
Located in the southwest highlands, the state park is one of the area's best fishing locales, with 300-acre Laurel Bed Lake. Boat ramps are available and there is a developed campground.
No motorboats are allowed.
