Covering more than six miles of Shenandoah River shoreline, this new 1,604-acre park opened in 1999.
Rolling mountains, steep slopes and woodlands make up this beautiful park.
In addition to meandering river frontage, the park offers scenic vistas overlooking Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east.
A large riverside picnic area with shelters, trails, river access and a car-top launch make this a popular destination for families, anglers and canoeists alike.
The picnic sites are wheelchair accessible.
Ten primitive and canoe-in campsites serving individuals and groups are available.
Scheduled for construction are a visitor center, cabins and an RV campsites.
