This 5,400-acre park offers the best of the renowned hill country of Texas, including rocky hills, grasslands, canyons, flowing springs and shady oak groves.

Once an equestrian-only ranch, the park has become increasingly popular with hikers, backpackers and mountain bikers who enjoy the 40 miles of multi-use paths and primitive campsites.

There are no paved roads.

There is fishing along West Verde Creek and kayaking along the Medina River, adjacent to state lands.

No drinking water is available in the area; hikers must purify creek water.
