Lake Isom National Wildlife Refuge

Lake Isom National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1938, is three miles south of Reelfoot Lake. The refuge's 1,850 acres of open water, forested wetlands and croplands resemble the larger, nearby Reelfoot wildlife refuge.

The refuge is available for wildlife observation and fishing from March to October, and provides a public boat launch. Hunting is permitted during certain seasons.
