Lake Louise, a 164-acre lake created when Wolf Creek was dammed, is an oasis in a prairie. With six miles of shoreline ringed by prairie and forest, the 320-acre Lake Louise Recreation Area offers a variety of outdoor activities.
Walleye, perch, largemouth bass and catfish challenge fishermen. The water is also enjoyed by pleasure boaters and swimmers.
Hikers explore five miles of trails in the park and have access to more than 1,000 acres in a nearby wildlife management area . The park is also the habitat of many songbirds.
In winter, cross-country skiers and snowmobilers use park roads and trails.
The park offers 38 campsites and 26 electric hookups.
