Roy Lake, a 1,500-acre glacial lake, is known for its excellent fishing and clear waters. The state park, covering 539 acres, offers fishing, boating, swimming and camping at two facilities.
Anglers take largemouth bass and walleyes from boat and from shore. The park has a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier, a fish-cleaning station, a picnic shelter, and three boat ramps.
In winter, snowmobilers follow the Glacial Lakes Snowmobile Trail, which leaves from the park and meanders through the surrounding scenic hills.
The park also has one interpretive trail for hikers.
A resort park with rental cabins and restaurant, Roy Lake has two swimming beaches, a water-ski beach and 88 campsites with electricity and 14 tent sites in two campgrounds.
