Among its other attractions, Lake Thunderbird State Park is known for the hiking and mountain biking trails that skirt the south shore of the lake at Clear Bay.
The trails cross wooded, gently rolling terrain with many views of the lake. Constructed in a series of loops, with three trailheads, the 4.1-mile trail system serves hikers and bicyclists. Motorized vehicles and equestrians are not permitted on this trail system.
Riding stables are located in the park. The park also has two marinas.
The lake supports fishing, swimming and waterskiing.
The park has 450 campsites, many with water, sewers and electrical service. There are also trailer dump stations and a nature center.
