Once the sacred ground of Kiowa and Comanche people, Quartz Mountain offers visitors outdoor adventure.

Spring wildflowers and constellations, autumn waterfowl migrations and the winter nesting of the American bald eagle lure visitors to this unique park.

Hiking, fishing, swimming, boating, water sports and naturalist programs are available. Performing arts institutes also give performances here.

Overnight visitors can choose from campsites or the resort lodge.

A nearby recreated Native American village features an outdoor museum with authentic villages that depict the everyday lives, religions and cultures of seven American tribes.

Fort Sill and its museum illustrate the historic military life of the area and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge harbors herds of buffalo, longhorn cattle and elk.

The nearby Museum of the Western Prairie houses artifacts of early frontier life.
