Foss Reservoir is the largest lake in western Oklahoma, with 8,800 acres of water and 60 miles of shoreline.
Marina Del Rey, open weekends in May, then daily from June through September, offers boat rentals, a fishing dock, fishing licenses, groceries and even a floating restaurant are all there.
A large variety of game fish are caught here, including catfish, crappie, blue gill, walleye and bass. Boat ramps are located at several camping areas within the park.
Campers can choose from a wide variety of locations and sites. There are a limited number of wheelchair-accessible campsites.
Waterfowl hunting is allowed on the south side of the lake in season. Quail and rabbit hunting are also allowed in adjacent areas of the Washita National Wildlife Refuge, which is a winter home to Canada geese and bald eagles.
Foss State Park is home to deer, quail, turkey, and a small herd of buffalo.
