Located along seven miles of one of the last free-flowing, undeveloped stretches of the Missouri River, Cross Ranch State Park is rich in both cultural and natural history. A boat ramp and canoe rentals are available for those wishing to explore this scenic river, while anglers fish for walleye, pike and bass.
An extensive trail system can be explored on foot, cross-country skis or snowshoes.
During summer, the trails allow access to an adjacent 5,000-acre nature preserve with mixed grass prairie and river bottom forests.
This 589-acre park has developed campgrounds, picnic areas and a visitor center. A backcountry area is open for those who prefer backpacking to campsites.
Limited deer hunting is allowed at an adjacent nature preserve.
