Travel to Bear Island and enjoy one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches on the Atlantic.

Accessible only by private boat or passenger ferry, Hammocks offers relentless sun, sand, sea and sky.

There are three primitive group campsites available on Bear Island and 14 primitive backpack campsites.

No fires are permitted on the island.

Canoeists and kayakers can explore Bear Island and its marsh along a designated canoe trail.

The park operates a passenger ferry service to Bear Island, which costs $5 for adults and $3 for children (ages 6-12) and seniors age 62 and older. Children age 5 and younger sail for free.
