This park, off Route 301 west of the Taconic Parkway, offers camping and more than 60 miles of great nature trails. The Appalachian Trail also runs through the park.
Fishing, swimming, mountain biking on 14 miles of trails and boating are the main summer activities at the 11,000-acre park. No motorboats are permitted and the boat launch is for hand-launched craft only.
During winter, about six miles of groomed cross-country ski trails are open, plus an ice-skating area, snowmobile trails and a sledding hill.
The park campground offers 80 tent and RV sites, but no electric hookups.
