Evangola State Park preserves an outstanding stretch of Lake Erie shoreline just 27 miles south of Buffalo. Its campground and tranquil woods offer a perfect escape from urban life.
Resident wildlife includes turkey, white-tailed deer and red-tailed hawks. Large stones throughout the park are believed to have been transported here from northern Canada by ancient glaciers. Fossil beds are also found in Evangola.
For recreation, Evangola offers hiking, cross-country skiing and more. The park's woodlands are picturesque and peaceful.
