Moreau Lake State Park offers snowshoeing in winter, swimming in Moreau Lake in summer, paddling on the Hudson River, and camping during spring, summer and fall.
The park's 4,100 acres, covered by hardwood forests, pine stands and rocky ridges, offer varied recreational activities in a beautiful setting.
The park’s wooded campgrounds, with tent and trailer sites, are quiet and secluded. There is also a cabin and facilities for group campers. Campsites, showers, picnic areas and camper recreation areas are all wheelchair-accessible. The camping season runs from mid-May through mid-October.
Shady grooves of trees shelter picnic grounds and a pavilion overlooks the lake. The sandy beach is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Moreau Lake also offers a place to boat, fish, and ice fish.
The park’s 21 miles of trails offer year-round hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Trails are used year-round for wildlife-watching, hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Deer hunting is permitted seasonally.
