The Clinton tract is one of New Jersey's most popular wildlife management areas. It contains 1,475 acres of fields and woodlands around one end of the large Spruce Run Reservoir.
The site is popular among hunters and hunting dog trainers.
Bird species include mallards, black ducks, canvasbacks, scaups and geese.
A large deer herd winters at Clinton. Upland wildlife includes pheasants, cottontail rabbits, turkeys and squirrels.
The adjacent Spruce Run Recreation Area is open for swimming, boating and picnicking.
