The Louisville State Recreation Area is a camper's park, with 223 all-weather camping pads with electric hookups; 13 all-weather pads without electricity and 46 no-pad sites.
Five small man-made lakes at the 192-acre park offer about 50 acres of water for fishing, paddling and swimming. The lakes are stocked with catfish, bass, bluegills and crappie.
The park also provides canoe access to the Platte River. A canoe campsite is adjacent to the tent campground.
There are 1.2 miles of hike or bike trails along the Platte River, and the park's 2.5 miles of roads are shared by walkers, bikers and cross-country skiers. Platte River State Park nearby has 10 miles of hiking trails.
Wildlife at Louisville includes raccoons, Canada geese, rabbits, coyotes and deer.
The park closes at 10 p.m. daily.
