The former site of several summer camps, these 515 acres of rolling woodlands along the Platte River provide excellent facilities for family recreation.
No conventional tent or RV camping is permitted, but overnight visitors enjoy 52 camp cabins converted into public accommodations. Nineteen of cabins remain open during winter.
The more adventurous can stay in a "village" of teepees. Each teepee accommodates up to eight campers.
Warm weather activities include archery, tennis, swimming and horseback riding. A small, artificial lake is stocked, allowing kids to catch and release fish.
The park's 10 miles of trails are used by hikers and mountain bikers in summer and cross-country skiers in winter. A three-mile equestrian trail follows Decker Creek.
