Located in hilly Miami County, Hillsdale State Park offers excellent outdoor recreation opportunities for hiking, fishing, picnicking, boating and camping.
Hillsdale Reservoir is the park's centerpiece, offering large stocks of walleye, catfish, bass and crappie. Boaters can put in at several launch sites and one beach has been designated for windsurfing.
Hiking and horseback riding are permitted on several trails in the park.
About 7,000 acres are open to hunting. Game species include white-tailed deer, mourning doves, quail, ducks, geese, raccoon, squirrel, rabbit, coyote and bobcat.
Camping is only allowed in the 218 designated camping sites in the Russell Crites and Saddle Ridge areas. About 178 sites provide electric and water hookups.
