Covering 60 square miles, Frontenac National Park (Parc National de Frontenac) is situated along Lake St. Francois, the third-largest lake on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River.
Frontenac Park strikes a harmonious balance between protecting nature and providing visitors with wonderful recreational opportunities.
Richly diverse vegetation and wildlife thrive within the park, which is divided into two sectors.
The Saint-Daniel sector includes a beach staffed by lifeguards, a four-mile biking path, boat and bike rentals, a picnic area, a 97-site campground and a nature trail that leads to a unique peat bog, where you find mysterious carnivorous plants.
The south sector offers a beautiful 109-site campground, a picnic area, canoe campsites, eight chalets located on a lakeshore, nature trails, fishing and boat rentals.
The park is located 74 miles southwest of Quebec City.
