Located on the south bank of the Crooked River, this park offers fine facilities in a beautiful coastal setting. A boat ramp is popular with anglers who often take to the water before sunrise.
Overnight visitors choose from 62 tent, trailer or RV sites and 11 cottages.
While the angler tries his or her luck in the Atlantic, others can play miniature golf, hike or visit the nearby ruins of the McIntosh Sugar Works mill, built about 1825.
The mill later was used as a starch factory during the Civil War.
Nearby are the Okfenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Jekyll Island and Cumberland National Seashore.
